At today’s regular school board meeting, members of the National Association of Retired Law Enforcement Officers (NARLEO) were invited by School Board Member Doug Dodd to share remarks during his opening comments. They spoke about the upcoming 9/11 ceremony and exhibit taking place on September 11 at the Depot Pavilion in Liberty Park and the Valerie Theatre, commemorating the 24th anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Through artifacts, photographs, and personal stories, hundreds of Citrus County students will have the opportunity to honor the bravery of first responders and reflect on the resilience of our nation.
